Hi all,
after enjoying a good blast on saturday i returned an hour later and the battery was dead. i assumed that the battery had gone (had this before where theb lead in the battery falls to the floor). so put a new battery in. Car started. Came back a day later and the battery is dead. Put in battery out of other car and listened carefully. Could hear pump running in the front compartment with the keys not in the ignition. The accumulator pump? passenger (UK) side is running constantly. Is this likely to be a short circuit or is a pressure switch or accumlator itself more likely.

any help greatly appreciated

Try pulling the accumulator pump relay and see if the noise/pump stops running, cant remember the location of said relay but you can hear it click on/off when the pump runs. trace loom back from pump to relay .Sounds like relay may have stuck closed ,if it has it means your pump is running all the time ,which incidently should throw a Abs waring light on as well.......unless anyopne knows better?

Phew, it's just an electrical problem.
With that heading, I thought I was going to see a picture of an Esprit after a nasty encounter with a road roller

I have always loved the English expression for a discharged battery and have started using it quite a bit myself. Flat battery brings to mind so many things, flat Esprit is quite good too!

I have a G-Esprit and two Eclats, all of which have the Origami styling of flat planes and creases. My god-daughters have always liked the cars, but when they were knee high and learning to talk they couldn't say the names. So they just called them "Tim's Flat Cars" and the name still sticks today.

Later,
Tim

Dave,
Yes, a relay can stick. Just replace it... they're cheap.
