S4 with long transom?

I thought that only the gt3/v8-gt had a long transom, and that other esprits with a wing were given a short transom lip spoiler. But i've been looking at pics and it seems that some s4's do have a long transom. Can someone clear this up for me?

If they are given a long transom, can the wing on the tailgate be removed without consequense, since the gt3/v8-gt is the same?

The difference is very subtle. I can't tell. But I think the GT3/GT spoilers are turned up just a bit more but not actually longer.
