I know there was a JPS Edition of the S3 Esprit but can anyone confirm if there was a similar JPS Edition for the S3 Turbo Esprit.

I have seen a coupe advertised as being "in JPS colour scheme" which were obviously black with the gold decals but wondered if there was an official edition.

Only "JPS" Esprit was the S2 Commemorative Edition. Neither the S3 nor Turbo were done in the same colour scheme.

Shame they never did a production version of the "JPS" Turbo Esprit. The Commemorative Edition cars never had JPS on them, Essex sponsored the team in 1979 so they couldn't use "JPS" in the marketing or on the cars. Unofficially they became known as "JPS" Esprits.

Thanks again.

I have a MY2010 Type 72 Exige and thought that JPS Esprit would go well with it. Having previously had an S3 Turbo I am focused on that model so guess it is a case of either getting a black / gold liveried Turbo or forgetting the "colour" aspect. Not really sure I appreciate the yellow "Elf" one in the classifieds.

It may well be that white will be on the radar now. Win/Win I guess

Yeah, thanks. I saw that. It really is a Turbo that I am looking for. I am a sucker for the deeper sills, skirts and vents that are part of the Turbo package and think the S3 looks a bit soft without them.
