Can anyone suggest a good set of road pads for my GT3. I don't do track days but do drive it hard on the road so I need something with good bite.

I used Pagid (?) last time but cost about 400 quid for the whole car and the performance didn't match up to the price in my view.

Also would like to take my CAT off, does anyone know where I can get a replacement pipe that will be able to go on my Quicksilver system? (Don't want to use Quicksilver as their after sales service is crap!)

Cheers

What sort of pagids did you have? I had Rs14's when i had brembos (same setup as your gt3) and they were very grippy, but as you say, expensive - and i found them noisy/squealy.

For just road use, i'd go with porterfield R4s. They perform about the same as stock lotus pads but are much cheaper.

Heard bad things about greenstuff. Some have mentioned "hawk" pads but i have no experience of these.

Try Les at CARS-GB for pads and cat replacement pipe:

Cheers for the info guys.

Rob, I think it was the Pagid RS14s that I bought. (Was a while ago)

So you reccomend the Portisfields? Might go for them then.

I've only run stock lotus pads, porterfields and pagid rs14 on my esprit so i can't give any advice or opinion on anything else - but if you only use the car on the street, porterfields will be fine and are cheaper than buying pads from lotus.
