Ariel Base on a GT3

is it possible to buy the ariel base only ? i have seen the stems and base on flea bay, and at SJ sportscars, but i only need the perished bit. . . .can anyone point me to a source ?

Paul Matty reckon that you can only buy the base for £60 odd quid to get the part i want. . which that reference is for sadly. . .

Do ! Just noticed in my OP the part i need is the rubbery washer type thing that the base sits in !!! sorry i didnt make that clear

It costs what it costs unless you can find out what the generic GM part number is, the same ariel is used on many of their cars.

I replaced the aerial on my S4s with one from a Vauxhall, it looks identical so is probably where it was sourced from. I bought the whole unit from my local motor factors for about £ 30.

thanks guys, i agree it costs what it costs, however the Vauxhall route is worth exploring. . .i can only imaginet the sun gets to the part because its perished and looks tatty and that will not do !

The acutal make and model of car it comes from is Vauxhall Tigra. I think it's slightly different base due to angle of roof on a Tigra compared with Corsa. The rubber wsher will be the same for both.

this the baby you want if your arial base gasket looked as crappy as mine, saves you changing the base unit, the chap who runs this shop processed the order super quick too
