Hi, a mate is looking at a 2001 y plate V8 at the weekend, after talking to the seller, the bargain price was because the car was a Cat D right off. The car was repaired by a reputable dealer using genuine parts, and still retains it's factory reg number, but my mate is having trouble finding an insurance company they will provide cover at a reasonable price, can any one recommend a company that will do cover for a Cat D? Or is it a pit-fall of a cheep car?
Cheers Rich.

have the car put through an AUTOLIGN test(costs about £200),this reclassifies the car as 'condition inspected'.
you will have no problem insuring the car or reselling it

Mate asked me thank you hazzardv8, Had the car inspected by AutoLign, it needed some work to correct the camber on one front wheel, but apart from that the car is sound, and now in his garage. He cant stop smiling
