I know this has been posted before but can anyone give me the offsets for the front and rear of my 1987 "G" Turbo Esprit. I am looking to put 16 x 7.5" on the front and 17 x 8" on the rear. Can anyone comment please. The sales guy says the rear wheels he has have a 15 offset. They are Ronal wheels.
Thanks
Thanks
The details you need are...........
Front ET23, 5x120 PCD, centre bore 71mm
Rear -ET20, 5x120 PCD, centre bore 71mm
I have fitted 7.5J16 on the front and 8.5J17 on the rear to an S3 which is the same.
Either look here :-

or email me for more details about the whole process I went throught.

The "G" cars have a huge negative offset (which is a rarity these days, especially paired with the somewhat normal positive offset in the front.) You can get a lot more information on the wiki including pics, tire sizes, etc. (http://esprit.driestone.com/index.php/Esprit/Wheels)
You have two choices for new wheels for the "G" car:
Newer BMWs have the same bolt pattern, but not the same centerbore (easy to fix). The rear wheels will have to have a 30-40mm spacer installed to run the wheels in the proper location (H&R makes one that runs about $200 USD.) Of course doing this results in loosing that "deep dish look." That said, you can get into BMW wheels a hell of a lot cheaper than the alternative...
The alternative is custom wheels from Compmotive or HT Wheels. You can get an exact match, or vary as many variables as you'd like (for instance increase the diameter.) The down side is that the are in the $1700-$4000 USD range (compare that to a set of $800 BMW wheels.)
