So i've always wanted to know this...

...which models are able to run over speedbumps?

It seems to me like the '02-'04 models definitely cannot. What about the earlier models?

And for those of you who can't run over bumps, has that affected your driving at all? Are there times when you really need to go over a bump, but cannot?

In Belgium, there are a lot of speedbumps. With my 88 model, I never had a problem with them, as far as I take them as slow as a pedestrian. Personally, I pay more attention of the high sidewalks when parking the car "front first".

Although the 02-04 cars and sport 350 have a lower lip, the rubber is flexible so if it does touch, it won't do any damage. The rubber flexes backwards.

I've wound the bilstiens down on my car to run approx 15mm lower than stock - no problem with speed humps but it does scrape a little on steep driveways. Taking it slow helps, as does approaching at an angle. If it does touch, its only a plastic lip that gets scraped, not the actual vehicle bodywork..

With any car with stiff suspension you tend to go slow over speed bumps, irrespective of ride height/lip.

Sometimes, depending on the state of the (dirt) road, the Camry will scrape in my driveway but my 89 Non-SE will miss.
