Afternoon chaps,

Until recently I had a working horn in my 97 V8 Esprit but last week it became intermittant, and now it dosent work. I was adding speakers to the doors but was very careful to avoid the acbles running along them.

Can anyone tell me if they have encountered this before, and if the horn is somehow eartherd through the cables in the doors?

Thanks

Mark

Assuming this is a LHD car, the horn fuse is mounted behind the leather knee bolster on the scuttle beam to the left of the steering column. You need to stick your head into the footwell and look up and back to see it. Chances are that you knocked it loose when installing your speakers. Check your fuse to make sure it's OK.

Cheers,

Thanks mate - it is RHD but I assume the location of the fuse is relatively the same - would this not make it work/not work, my problem seems to be intermittant.

What do you recon?

Check to see if the horn relay clicks when you press the horn. You will then know if the problem is in the switching circuit or the power circuit.

Relay in my car under bonnet behind the left light.
