If I had to guess I'd say they were heading to Dermot's get together in Oxford. See this thread:

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?f=17&t=121828

They do look nice on the road, especially in a pack. As do F355s (looks great, sounds even better)

Thats would be Paul, Jonathan and Juilan on the way to Oxford. Would have been there myself if I did not have a office move to deal with.

Hi there,
T'was us on the way to Oxford !
Yep the red V8 was my car - lovely to meet up with some Ferrari's too, got a lot of open jaw looks from the traffic according to my friend in the passenger seat who also managed to grab a few pictures of us in convoy.

Dunno who the 1st chap to turn off was, but thanks for the little burst of power :O]
Can't get enough of that engine note !!!

Morning all.

Tony just pointed me in the direction of those pics. I was the chap in the other 355 that day. Shame I had to leave at J11.

Jimbo,
cheers . No disrespect was meant by describing your car as "older". Didn't know what year/model it was .

Don't worry, I was in a VW garage negotiating with the (very young) salesman on a new car for the missus when he recognized me from the petrol station the night before.
"Oh, ar you the one with the classic Lotus" !!!!
On a 98R!!!
All these young whipper-snappers think the only thing Lotus has made is the Elise!

Its a V8 (I beleive) with a Ram Air conversion - hence the bunny's ears - a new paint job and a lovely interior. It arrived late to the meet so didn't have a chance to talk to the owner.

It's a project car, absolutly not my cup of tea but it is done well (got a sub where the rear pocket is !). I was lead to believe it's a 4-pot dressed as a V8.

The Yellow with green stripes esprit is a 1988 normally aspirated 4 banger.
I know I was supprised as well untill someone pointed out the door handles to me.
