Hi,
today i've found another oil leak.I got a lot of oil between Cylinder block and Gearbox.Where does it come from.Does it sometimes happen that oil disappears between Block and Main Bearing Case?
Thanks for your help.

Umm, rear main seal? Not uncommon, from what I gather. Other choice would be front seal of the transmission. Make sure it is engine oil and not tranny oil.

Could also be the leaking thru the Threads of the Bolts that hold on the Flywheel onto the Crank.

Hi,
thank for your replys.
But i got oil at both sides at the end of the cylinder block and it`s no gearbox oil.
Does it ever happen that motor oil comes out of the main bearing case?

Thanx

Oil can come out anywhere, especially on an English car. Tracking down leaks is a real PITA. Try:

then "Oil Leaks"

Oil dripping from the bottom can come from about anywhere, but if it is coming from inside the bell housing area, I would suspect the rear main seal.

Have you cleaned you PCV lately. Most auto repair books list this as the primary cause of sudden oil leaks.

And I know that it is a possibility from PERSONAL experience. And a cheap fix. A little gasoline soak, blow dry.
