As of yesterday, the new owner came from the other side of the country and picked up my black S4s.
I polished it for him and checked everything to make sure it's all good before I handed it over.
I had this one for over three years, so it was hard to see her go.
At least, the new owner looks like a good guy that will look after her.

Time to look for a nice Diablo Roadster now. I was just about to order the new Murcielago Roadster, but I am having huge second doubts because of the way it looks. There's actually more Murcie's around here now that Diablos, yet people still don't know what a Murcie is because it looks so 'japanese' while the Diablo just scream at you 'Lamborghini'. Plus I prefer the way the Diablo drives more than the Murcie.

Anyway, meanwhile, time to go crazy on upgrades for the yellow S4s that I still have left. It should be awesome once I'll be done with it.

That's quite a job. Congratulations.

I'm very disappointed in the Murcie roadster but I consider the Diablo to be *the quintessential exotic* .

Sorry to hear about the black S4s going but hey, I would love to be in your shoes with such a hard decision to make. Iam sure there are many others on here that would also love to be in the same predicament as you.
Iam not saying this in a callous way, I hope you make the right decision which Iam sure you will. Just trying to make you realise how fortunate you are (I won't say lucky as it winds some people up!).
Make sure you keep the Norfolk Mustard one (my favourite colour) so you stay in touch with us all.

Cheers,

Agrred. The Diablo to me still appears as the 'it' car to have.
I just found out yesterday from an article the dealer has that the Murcie roadster cannot be driven more than 160km/h (100m/h) with the roof off as the computer won't allow it. What the ... ???
It looks more and more unlikely about this Murcie now. Especially when I never liked the look of the car until I saw in real life a pearl orange one. In that colour, it is gorgeous, but it could just be the colour - after all I LOVE the orange Esprits, but there's none here.

I don't consider myself lucky as I never had anything handed down to me since I always had to work very hard for everything. But I am fortunate because I was/am able to do what I am doing and as such being able to have the kind of life I have.

The yellow one will stay in the family for ever. It is in absolutely mint, showroom condition, in every single aspect. One simply cannot find a single thing wrong with it, no matter how hard would try. This one is a keeper.

BTW superdave, in case you were wondering, I am the one that won that BOV on ebay. I was watching it like a hawk for the entire time!

So you have a deposit now for the Diablo Did you get what you wanted for the Esprit? I got to say that kinda money one could get into a nice V8 for that price, esp when you had done a few mods to it, good for you.
Anyway glad you still have the mustard one and looking forward to seeing some pics of the new purchase.

Cheers

I confirmed the 160km/h thing about the Murcie. One can't drive it faster than that with the roof on, as the roof will just simply fly off!
It looks more and more like it will be the Diablo. I just have to find a nice roadster now.

I advertised my car that I was happy to sell it for anything more than the Lotus dealer offered me, so I sold it for a price above that, that made me happy.
I actually had 3 very serious buyers that were actively pursuing it and one of them eventually ended up with it.

No worries over the BOV, I have one already fitted to my new Esprit, it was only for a spare. Glad it went to a new home.

Diablo roadster did not get great magazine review over here.. personally if i was in your position i'd be looking at an SV.

Will look forward to your detailed test drive reports and comparisons between the lotus and lambo.

BTW one of the guys who came to the oxford meet with a 02 Esprit v8 found himself side by side with a diablo on a deserted (private) road recently. By all accounts there was nothing in it all the way up to 160 whatsits..

If your interested, I've invented a device that will simulate the "Lamborghini Owner's Experience" but at a Fraction of the Cost!. For just $995, I'll sent you a Garbage Can, a Gallon of Gas and Cigarette Lighter. Anytime you get the urge to feel like a True Lamborghini Owner, just place your money into the Can and I think the rest you can figure out on your own.

I'll be tracking the Lambo at least once. Just to see how I get along with it, but most likely after that, it will just be the Esprit as that is a great track car.

I am a luxury nut, and the SV is too basic for me, although I do like those air vents on the roof. Besides, the Roadster will just be a posers car. If I want a drivers car, I'll just jump in the Esprit

I've tracked against Diablos and the last one, while it could keep up with me in the straights (obviously), eventually ended up in the sand pit when one of the sharper corners arrived, while I happyly went around it in the black one.
