Esprit Chassis
Discussion
A bit of advice needed as Ive been away from Lotus for a while....I need to buy a an Esprit rolling chassis (pref S3) for a project that has been a long time in the planning stages. I dont want to buy a good car and break it as this is not the type of thing I would do, the only other option I can think of is either an impact or fire damaged car.
I already have the motor and box but the small ads and ebay not coming up with much....any ideas?
Thanks NP4.

found it but its literally only the chassis, might be of use though. trouble is an impact or fire damaged car is probably worth more in parts than a whole decent one.

Thanks for the replies....need a rolling chassis otherwise I would have bought the ebay one in a heartbeat. Things look to have changed, do you think I am hopeing for too much wanting a roller?
I think so, best option is to look for an MOT failure in my opinon....... maybe blown engine. Probably cheaper than a fire damaged chassis and you'll get 95% of the car but... still expect to pay a premium.Whats the difference in chassis between an Excel and an Esprit? if its for a project might be worth getting the excel far cheaper (circa 2k for a working one) and modifying it.

The Excel chassis is completely different - it's no use to you unless you want the engine at the front.Gassing Station | Esprit | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
