I would be interested to know how many of you who own a 4 pot Esprit with a GM ECM (Such as an SE Turbo) would be interested in a device that could be permanently mounted in your car and would make available to you all of the key data (Sensor readings, fault codes etc) that can be read from the ECM?

How much? I just use a laptop into the connector behind the glove box

I chap called Cain is developed an ECU reader like the Andy Whittaker Freescan for the Palm.

I have tested a beta version and it works...

Yes there is:

Its a generic tool however, not a specific item for the esprit like freescan. Also, it only displays information, where freescan allows you reset/alter codes etc.

I spoke to Andy Whittaker some time ago about doing a "freescan for v8" - he had done some work and did promise that he would complete it at some point... but as this really is just a hobby for him i wouldn't hold your breath
