I have got a v8 gt with se seats , does anyone know how you get more legroom or whether sports seats would help.

Check to see if anyone put washers under neath the seat, to raise or lower it. like they did with mine. Next replace the stearing wheel with a smaller one. else remove the railing under neath the seat and bolt it to the floor.

Yes, the GT seats give you a small increase in legroom and headroom.
The "glass" roof that was an option also give you slightly more headroom.
