neck extension upgrade

I am thinking of a very subtle upgrade, I broke my back a few years back which makes reversing the esprit a challenge due to the lack of rear visability.
I am thinking of installing one of the new pop out GPS/ screen stereo things. pretty much one of the upgraded in dash DVD players, most of these have facilities for a reversing camera to be fitted.

has anyone fitted a stereo with a pop out screen? Was there enough clearance?
