I am considering a '90 SE that has problems with the No. 4 syncro. How tough might this be to fix? I've rebuilt toploaders and T-10s before. Are they any tougher than that? Are there detailed tech manuals for such things as transmission and engine overhauls?
Suggestion: buy yourself a Renault 25 Heynes manual. I have also found in french litterature, that only the 1 and 2 gear synchros are made by Renault, the others by Borg Warner or another gearbox specialist. I'll have to check the documentation again for further details.
