Howdy people, can anybody tell me if the National Panasonic Radio/Cassette Player mounted as standard in the roof panel of the Essex Commemorative Turbo Esprit was ever offered as an optional extra for the Turbo after the Essex quit production. Most of the sources I have would say in a non-100%-way that it was as shortlived as the Essex because it added 1029 UK Pounds to the overall price and because it was FM only. On the other hand, I have an article from Motor Sport, year 1981 September, testing the standard Turbo where they write that they have the system in the car and that the Essex have a console-mounted, simpler system. To add to the confusion, the white Turbo, Roger Moore drove as 007 in For Your Eyes Only (1981) also has the system. Any body can help me here?
