Hi guys and gals,

Just sold my 993 and fancy a change. I always loved the look of the Esprit but wonder if I will fit? I am thinking of a 1990 Turbo.

I am 6'2" and 16 stone with size 11 feet, anyone my size or bigger??

Cheers

Shouldn't be a problem but you will have to choose shoes very carefully.
Size 11 here too.

A close friend who is 6,3 ft tall, about 100kg and size 12 foot !! A previous Esprit GT3 owner himself. Sunroof open to allow his helmet! Other than that he just fits!

Hope you dont mind me posting Pete smile

After the Porsche you will have to adopt a technique for getting in and out as you have to insert yourself into the Esprit. Best thing would be to try one, as mentioned the choice of shoes is important. The standard V8 seats are very comfortable and hold you without squeezing you in too much but still manage to hold you in place when enjoying the cornering ability of the car. Oh and they keep you in place when doing a couple of 360's on track.

did the same move a long time ago and have about the same size
you will indeed need to lern how to get in and out but the space behind the wheel is ok
at some time i lowered the seat for about an extra 3 cm's
felt better
the esprit SE Turbo handles much better than the porsche (owned a 993 cup version)
got rid of the esprit after all and bought myself something more vicious (tvr Tuscan)
but loved the esprit
if you're still looking
be sure you buy one with :
a brake upgrade, cambelt replaced and check the manifold (they crack every 30k)

Thanks guys, I certainly appreciate your advise and will heed! I am aware that these can be a little delicate, but fancied one for year and this maybe the time!
