Lads,
My passenger side door motor has packed up and i need to replace it. It is an AC Delco Motor therefore it should be on a General Motors car or similar of that period. Does anybody know which one, so i can nip down the scrappy

Try either a 1986 Jag XJ6 or an early vauxhall senator/carlton.

I took my motors apart when they packed in and sussed out that the problem was with the small diode in line with on of the brushes, so i binned the brushes and the diod and bought some similar sized alternator brushes from my local Lucal dealer. File down the new brushes to size and solder them in.

They have worked fine ever since (over 2 years) and it cost me a total of about £3 and a couple of hours work.

The motor I used for my Europa was from a cadillac. It may be a good place to start.
