Exposing the chassis

How difficult is it to lift the esprit body and expose the chassis. Would love to purchase an S4 esprit but would want to strip it down and refurbish from the chassis up. Thanks Tom.

The chasssis is galvanised and will probably outlast you. No real need to remove the body, but if you want to it's fairly straightforward - no more than unbolting stuff. The bodyshell weighs more than you think it might, so remove as much of the seats, doors, tailgate etc to keep the weight down as you can.
