I thought I would start this thread as we (England) will soon be on our way. Will be interesting to see how the US do.

WI have a strong team if all their franchise players are back and selected/available particularly as they are at home. Smallish grounds high scores I’m guessing. At least it’s short and sweet. 29 days if I remember correctly.

Just watching SA v SL. These drop in pitches are normally pretty decent, this one is very strange.

Hopefully we will get a game in. We need full points from this one…

I think that 5 overs per side constitutes a game. If it impossible for the team batting second to bat then I guess it is abandoned.

At least I would rather be chasing under these circumstances.

Well batted Scotland. Our bowling looked a little impotent tbh. It’s raining…

Abandoned. I wonder how much of an impact the weather is going to have..

Can't possibly have the World Cup interfere with the IPL.
This is the reason. The 79 match IPL is the most important T20 competition in the calendar. Everything else falls in line.

Well, India are showing us how to deal the Associate Nations. Not giving Ireland a sniff so far..

These drop in pitches in the US look underprepared to me. The bounce is variable and lifting off a length is no fun.

The way India dismantled Ireland should have been what England should have done to Scotland yesterday when bowling. Sure England are a little undercooked prep-wise but india showing they are on it from the off.
We should certainly have not allowed Scotland to go at 9 an over for 10 overs without taking a wicket with that bowling attack.

Yep precisely. Hopefully the bowling attack fully warm up as the tournament progresses, as sometimes it's all about timing. It will define how far we (England) progress.[/quote

It is too early to judge. My gut feeling is that we will be fine depending on wickets and weather. These are not flat tracks, so far anyway. We have to fire from the off.

The wickets are levelling things out a little, which in some ways is a good thing. Key game on Saturday against tough opposition. Win and we will gain some momentum, lose and we will be behind the 8 ball although I still fancy our chances. India are still favourites for me.

They have and the USA look like the real deal in the field. Let’s see how they bat against a strong Pakistan attack, but I am impressed so far.

They are and I don’t think Pakistan have worked out what to bowl on this wicket. They are all over the place.

They have lost momentum in the last 5 and Pakistan have finally worked it out. They gave a really good account of themselves though. Gave Pakistan a real scare.
