Are Manchester united really the underdogs in this?

personally I do think they'll pack out the midfield play one upfront - and it'll be a very very close game. I dont think Barca will walk through as some pundits are suggesting.

As an avid ABU fan, I wanted United to get hammered, but after seeing the El Classicos Barca annoyed me with the diving and crying.

Not really arsed who wins but hopefully it'll be a cracking game.

As they're a British team, and if they win it aids rankings, i'll support United, but want to see a decent game of football.

United will have their work cut out, but they are a strong physical side with pace and movement, so are capable of hitting on the break, and definately have match winners in their team (although same could be said of Real Madrid).

In a one off game...are United as good as Real Madrid? Probably.

In a one off game...could RM beat Bara? Yes, and they did.

I'd make Bara favourites, but I wouldn't bet on them, if that makes sense.

Me, i will be supporting the brits, regardless of me supporting liverpool.
I always support Liverpool but when/if they get knocked out then i will support other northwest teams, when they go then any other british team will do, i would prefer if they won than the foreign teams.

I also hope it is a good game, i cant see fergie getting it wrong against barca like last time.

Barca! They just have too many good players.

Man for man, they look stronger.

Should be a great game, though!

Spot on sir , the gamesmanship was outrageous , 22 of the worlds top players acting like spoilt school kids really bugged me too

I hope united win , but fear they will get passed to death by a far superior footballing team ,

United have had a pretty easy route to the final other than Chelsea , i just feel barca will have just too much in their locker for Man utd

Aye. Hopefully many neutrals will get behind Utd wink

The cheating, play-acting, theatrics and card-waving on display in the recent el-farcico matches could be a positive PR spin for Utd in this final.

What I find odd is that Barca do not need to resort such unsavoury tactics. They are not doing themselves any favours, and in my mind their on pitch behaviour takes some shine off their football.

If Barca are at full strength I can see them winning relatively comfortably....the football they play at the pace they play it just puts them on a different level.

What's the best team/formation for SAF to pick ? He's got to go 5 in midfield surely ? Rooney up top with Hernandez on the bench ?

Needs a strong ref, who is doing it?

On paper even if old red nose gets his tactics spot on I just don't see how Man u can score more than this Barce side, they are next level.

3-0 Barca for me ! Utd's CM is just not good enough to compete against Xavi, Inniesta and Messi

1-0 United is my guess.

I think Barca may struggle against arguably the best defence in the Premiership, and United will get them on the counter attack.

This apart from the 3 nil. I think it'll be 2-0 and the lack of class in the centre of the park will be the difference. Maybe fletcher will be the difference that was missing in the last final, I hope so cos Carrick is no where near good enough and I can see scholes getting sent off. As a united fan I really hope we win and over one game you never know, what I do know is it'll be a fecking tough game and SAF needs to get the tactics spot on.

Hoping for a United win. They may be the envy of most British teams, but it's always beneficial to have a British team win it.

its a barca win for me - the way they're playing you can always see them raising it another level if they need to.

as strong as players as united have they've got quite a few weak ones.

Would love to see Sir Alex notch up a 3rd Champions League win but head says Barca as they will take some stopping. Don't want the Spaniards to win with all their whining and diving/playacting.

I think there will be a few goals in this one, Messi is unstoppable at times and I think Barca will score, in my view Man Utd have to accept that fact and go out with the attitude that they just have to score one more goal than them in response - attack rather than sit back for the full 90 minutes, if Giggs, Valencia, Nani are on their game then Utd have plenty of counter-attacking capability. Van Der Sar is also continuing to make some outstanding saves, so I think this game is far from a forgone conclusion.

Worst trolling ever - ffs!

Barca are a better team than 2009 and Utd are arguably worse ... I'm not sure old red nose could bring himself to pack the midfield and hope to nick a goal ... I think he may decide to really have a go - either way Utd will get beat I think - pretty convincingly - and I don't say that as someone who hates them as a passion either.

It's more than that!

Barca dissapointed me with their behaviour and i wont be cheering them on even though its UTD. Despite that do you really think Ferguson hasnt been planning this since the chelsea game and he will have a plan up his sleeve for sure.
