Anyone watching this year?

Any predictions?

Its about time the canucks have a good shot at winning it and claiming it for the first time despite being up against last years champions in the first round.

I'm watching as a long time Blackhawks fan, I think the Canucks will be in round 2 in 4 games...

Its sad to see but its clear that the salary cap has really affected the hawks.

Plenty of decent matchups this year, looking forward to seeing how the Bruins - Canadiens matchup pans out, a lot of history there.

Totally agree, it's had a huge effect.

Some big names like Byfuglien and Niemi left over the summer, but I think it's players like Andrew Ladd and Kris Versteeg that gave them strength in depth that they're really missing. Injuries to Sharp and Bolland haven't helped recently either.

Aside from an eight game run in February, I don't recall them really stringing more than a couple of back to back wins together - a total and utter lack of consistancy all season long.

That should be a good series. Funnily enough the NHL computer simulation thingy they ran after the regular season finished predicted that the Bruins would be champions this year - I seem to remember it correctly predicted last years result so you never know...

Not that much history behind the teams from California, but all three made it in to the post season this year - be interesting to see how that all works out, nothing like some local rivalry to spice things up a bit thumbup

I can see Bruins - Canucks final.

My surprise last night was Buffalo, Flyers play great play off hockey.

Yeah i think the fact it was such a pummeling will serve as a reminder they can't coast though, fingers crossed they will pick themselves up and finish it in 5.

Ooooooh - this series just got interesting... wink

Bolland is back and keeping the Sedin twins quiet, Luongo pulled for the second time in two games - can the Hawks emulate Philly last year and win the series after being three games down?

Back to Chi town on Sunday to find out!

Caps where great last night.
Hoping for a Sabres win tonight, it's Miller Time.
Roberto looks wobbly, he's a great goalie but has no play off pedigree. Still the should go through but don't write off the Hawks.
Wings are as strong as ever & Henrick will be back for the next game.
Ideally Wings v Sabres final but can't see my Sabres getting very far. I think it will be Wings v Caps final with Ovi taking it.

History will be made.

Hate the Flyers....
Habs v Bruins tonight game 7 should be a good one.
Bolts v Pens to, hope the Bolts win but can hear the Pens fans saying " If Sid & Geno where playing blah blah"

And will continue to do, just don't think they have "It" to go the whole way. Luongo is suspect in the big games.
Still going with Wings v Caps final.
So glad Pens are out, ha ha. Love watching Boston, it's like old time hockey.

Didnt realise we had a hockey thread here.

I want the Canucks to go all the way, Im a big fan of the team although I do have my doubts (as someone mentioned Luongo is looking a bit 'iffy')
I also wanted the Rangers to do well but I guess that went out of the window.frown
Canucks v Bruins in the final would be very interesting.

Well my teams for the final are slipping. lol
The Sharks looked good last night & Boston looked very good the other night.
Not really bother who wins after my Sabres got knocked out apart from the Flyers.

Since Stevie Y's lot knocked my team out, I'm shouting for them from the East...

San Jose seem to have a bit more verve this post-season than they have had for a while, too..

I've been saying for about six months the Canucks won't win the cup, despite their fan-base having planned the parade...

Bruins are looking good.
Sharks v Bruins/Tampa final. Didn't the Tampa would get this far but they playing better & better. Rolo is a star.
