If you're applying for tickets to the Olympics, which events are you going to try for? It's slightly worrying that if you apply, and then get tickets, you cannot cancel them, so you could end up with a very expensive bill if you try for lots of events.

I'm not interested in knowing that you don't care about the Olympics and won't be getting tickets...!

Quite a few of the swimming events (I'm a swimmer myself), a mix of the finals in the sessions with events I'm interested in and some heats.

One session of the gymnastics has a few events we're interested in, a couple of weightlifting sessions, maybe some rowing and a punt on a couple of random events.

I'm going to try for a couple of athletics events, cycling, swimming, basketball, and football!

This could either be extremely expensive, or very disappointing!

I've heard that Modern Pentathlon is the best value event. It lasts all day, unlike the 2 1/2 hours or so you get at the athletics. You get to see three venues, aquatics centre, handball arena and Greenwich Park. A whole day out at the Olympics for the same price as other events.

I want to see the archery, not because I have any interest in it, just that it would be good to be at Lords to see something other than cricket. It's a wonderful place to be on a sunny afternoon

Trampolining & gymnastics smile

Do you know if you can resell your tickets on if you can't make an event ?

we have been hit with a 6 week leave embargo over the whole event. What joy rolleyes.

Hopefully if i find a new job i can use the tickets otherwise will olympic 2012 buy the tickets back ?

Before i get left with very expensive bits of paper frown

I understand there's a resale site where you can sell your unwanted tickets for the price you paid for them

track cycling (would love to see the omnium and the team pursuit)
triathlon
heptahalon final (Mmmm....Jess.... cloud9)
mens long jump (Phillips Odowu vs Teddy Tamagoe will be epic)

to be honest, i'll go and see anything that i can. things like the sailing, marathon and cycling road races should be free if you pick your spot on the route.

annoyed that the hoteliers are ramping up prices, rooms in london hotels already look like being £200pppn more in July 2012 than July 2011...

It will be interesting to hear how people get on tomorrow.

I think it will be one thing getting tickets, but another getting descent tickets to the events you want, particularly the blue riband events and finals.
I think ticket prices start at £20 and go up to around £700.
From the touts...who knows.

I believe that a substantial amount of the tickets are corporate allocations which, let's be honest, aren't going to be in the Gods are they and each athlete gets a few tickets too.

It's not all about tomorrow. Applying early or late in the timeframe doesn't matter.

Yes I know but the the tendency will be to apply early and I'm curious how it all goes.
