we were awful today,bloody fortune.
He was, but Odemwingie was not much better. Most of our width came from the two strikers, meaning often there was nobody in the middle for a cross to aim for. Except once, and Fortune fluffed it. Given the way we played, we should be happy with a draw. That late goal papered over a few cracks. Hodgson's appraoch is very defensive (not a bad thing cosidering our defensive record) but it stifles the attacking play so much it doesn't make for a great spectacle. Bigger tests of our defensive set up to come against Stoke, Blues and Arsenal.http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/20022011/58/premier-...
Oh dear, he is off already, i fear for you guys, this man is clearly not right.
"I thought we deserved better. I thought the performance throughout was good. I thought we laid siege for long periods on the Wolves goal, but we know they defend well."

It was richly deserved, when you score in injury time there's always a get-out-of-jail element to it as you've come to terms with it not being your day, but from the start we did more than enough to win.
Wolves defended solidly but their keeper was under pressure a lot and apart from Jamie O'Hara's goal and the backheader, we kept them at bay.
We knew it would be tough, I'm happy with a point. All draws are either wins or defeat - last week's 3-3 was like a defeat, this 1-1 is a victory.
There you go Baggies. Yesterday's result was like a victory (only with 1 point to show for it). It's like him talking about our Everton game all over again.Wolves defended solidly but their keeper was under pressure a lot and apart from Jamie O'Hara's goal and the backheader, we kept them at bay.

As Jonas Olssen said afterwards, it felt like a victory. And judging by the response of the fans, who were seconds away from greeting the final whistle with a chourus of boos (and worse), you'd have to agree.wongthecorrupter said:

I was always a fan of 4-4-2, but it didn't work for us. The front two were inneffective and the midfield light. Perhaps a 4-4-1-1 with Vela in behind Odemwingie. And we need to find a place for Brunt where he can play and is happy, quite how he was voted MOTM yesterday I will never know.oxford drinker said:

I always thought brunt looked better in the middle with mulumbu ,spraying the ball wide.Thomas was marked out the game yesterday and it was the less effective display i have seen from odemwingie,im not sure any player deserved man of the mach.Me missed the steele of mulumbu. Its going to be hard to stay up.Im still in shock over dimatteo to be honest.Im worried the football will go away.Im not to bothered if we are in the prem or not i just want to be entertainedGassing Station | Sports | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
