I was reading there was still an issue with the Chisora fight having been postponed as well... Think that article said it was up to Klitschko's camp to sort out who he was to fight next....

True, but with Haye categorically stating he's retiring next year (2011) it puts the Klits in a bit of a predicament. They won't want to siddle off into history as the Champions who avoided the only man who would might have beaten them. I'm sure they'll opt to compensate Chisora to step aside for this one - in boxing more than any other sport Money Talks.

im.....you do know that it is haye who is widely regarded as a coward in the world of boxing don't you???
he has already backed out of fights against both vitali and wlad.
both klitschkos have performed at the top level of heavyweight boxing this decade and haye who has had about 4 fights up at heavyweight against stty competition.

i think it is actually haye who should put up or shut up seeing as it is he who has continually backtracked, sidestepped and lied his way through the last few years with regards a fight against either brother.i'm not going to regurgitate it all here but if you want to know more about the ongoing shennanigans(i have followed this situation with great interest since david went up to heavyweight.)have a look at the last 50 odd pages in the boxing thread.i've posted a load of info in there but don't take my word for it,do a bit of research in 'tinternet about broken agreements and retracted contradictory statements from adam booth.
both klitschko brothers have achieved more at heavyweight than david haye ever could if he fought on for another 15 years.it is he who needs them more than the other way round

Booth did not state where the proposed fight would take place, but having compromised on the revenue split it is unlikely Haye would be happy to travel outside the UK.

.this quote lifted from the article^^^^^^^^

i have just re-read this and herein lies the problem.this fight won't happen.how is a total and unequivical 50-50 split on world revenue and rights a compromise on haye's part??????50-50 is more than fair considering that wlad is the recognised universal champ with a cluster of belts and actually should hold the wba strap that haye has by default(see the stty situation with valuev and chagaev and wlad's subsequent beating of chagaev).

haye would be unhappy to travel outside the uk considering his compromise???????cheeky bd!!

the reality of the situation is that wlad regularly sells out 80,000 seat arenas in germany and is a bonafide world superstar.haye is getting there but recently just did 15,000 in manchester.

A few counter points...

1. Haye is the money - and everyone, but most importantly the yanks, know it. Without him the US audience will be small.

2. The internet chatter is just that - chatter. Unless you were privy to the previous negotiations then its all just gossip isn't it.

3. I've seen boothe recently on SSN saying that the negotiations for this fight should be conducted in public - this was rejected by Wlad & Vitali's camp.

You pays your money...

point 1......wrong.america is not the be all and end all of heavyweight boxing.as proven by the continually massive europe wide audiences for live fights and on tv.do a bit of digging as to the viewing figiures in germany when a klitschko fights.america is starting to come to terms with the fact they don't control heavyweight boxing anymore and the klitschkos are starting to get the respect over there they should have been getting 8-10 years ago.

point 2..........not internet chatter, press releases from booth and k2 for two fights that contracts for said fights were signed and then broken by haye.as i have stated before.when vitali is busy they seem to want him.when wlad is busy they want him.go back over the jumps.i'm only quoting contradictions by booth himself.

point 3.........all i will say is don't take anything out of context.watch the full video of the live link between bonte and booth on ringside.you will find the video on eastside boxing.watch the video and then come back and tell me honestly that berndt bondte didn't agree to this open negotiations.

don't believe all the bullst hype surrounding this.going back over the last three years i'm afraid it's haye who has come across badly here.
let's just hope he doesn't focus too much on his impending retirement and actually takes the fight without any finger pointing and bks about injuries and contracts.
and finally, for the record, lets see if the saurland option on haye still lets haye fight wlad.my bet is he will posture, lie and then end up fighting a stiff to free himself from any contractual obligations to saurland events

scratchchin...so you don't think this fight is gonna happen then? Or you think he's going to fight someone else prior to a Klitchko?

well fella, nothing is set in stone but i do find the set of circumstances point in that direction.
firstly haye breaks a signed contract with wlad citing a back injury.we all know that it was more to do with not really wanting the fight but when one interviewer offered the explaination of setanta's imminent demise david winked and smiled.fair enough i suppose but do you really think sky themselves wouldn't have picked up the mantle knowing 85,000 seats were already sold in germany??
the "slave "contract chat started here.

move foreward and haye gets the chance to fight vitali for his belt.the fight is verbally agreed but again david gets cold feet at the eleventh hour citing this "slave " contract once again.24 hours later he has signed to fight valuev for the wba strap.no mention of 3 fight tie ins or slave contracts here we note.

what david actually signed to get this title shot was a 4 fight deal with saurland event getting 30% of his next 3 fights.there is one fight left on this contract.
now,is david going to fight wlad in a mega money clash and give a third of his purse to saurland????or is he going to fight someone else?his mandatory is dangerous ruslan chagaev(the man who beat valuev much more convincingly than haye and got robbed.chagaev also lost every round when he fought wlad before getting stopped in the 9th.chagaev's wba belt was not on the line.valuev eventually nicked that).my gut feeling is david will sign this fight first, knowing that chagaev won't get a license to fight in the uk by the british boxing board and so he will apply to the wba for a dispensation to fight someone else while all the mess is sorted out.this will allow him to fight another bum or old has been and finally be free of saurland event.
it is important to note here that haye has been in contact with evander holyfield and has even had a london meeting with roy jones jr.

i'm not saying he won't fight wlad.what i am saying is he will make another defence against a "name" that the british general public will recognize(like john ruiz was),make another 5 million quid and give saurland 1.5 mill.chagaev will be frozen out and haye will have just enough time to fight wladimir before retiring.or will there be another complication that makes the fight date get pushed back past his precious retirement date??(haye is 31,wlad is 36 and vitali is 40!!)

make of all that what you will.

and just to add, don't think i'm just hating on haye because i'm not.he is a very exciting, hard punching, fast moving heavyweight.this god given talent is why i'm so pissed off about it all.he keeps insulting the boxing fans who pay to watch him figh by continually feeding us bullst stories that insult our intelligence.

are we going to see vitali bh and moan and try and wriggle free of another very dangerous mandatory in odlanier solis(who already holds a win over haye in the amateurs,by the way)??
or are we going to see him,yet again and at age 40,sign the fight in a heartbeat and fight the young pretender without complaint or excuse??

David Haye said:
I've seen his style and seen what he does in the ring and he's a fraud. He wears big shoulderpads in his gown and picks guys who suit him perfectly, but I'm not fooled...

...Wladimir Klitschko's not tough enough, mentally or physically, no way - unless he gets a chin transplant, and with eight weeks I don't think there's time enough for that to heal.
He's such a modest guy, isn't he? hehe
