as of yesterday floyd has surprisingly agreed(although not yet signed)to fight manny in may.pacquiao wants it in march because he`s running for congress in the phillippines.no news yet on purse splits but it wouls seem floyd has backed down from his ridiculous stance of a 65/35 in his favour. this could be the biggest ppv fight in history ,but is 12-14 weeks enough time to set it up??

No way I can see this happening in March. Pacquiao went on record before saying he wouldn't fight in Q1 as he was putting his name in for the House of Representatives.

Was on BoxingRec (I think) this morning now saying that Pac now wants a 60/40 split - Mayweather will never agree that. Hopefully it is just posturing but we'll see.

You made the point about timings on a March fight as well and I agree. I don't think that 3 months is enough to sort out tickets, run the promo tours and start flogging the PPV's.

I think it will happen buy it's May of Sept for me.

I'm not going to listen to any statements unless they are direct from Schaefer or Arum.
