Compression Clothing for the gym. . .
Discussion
. . .possibly (ok definitely) a suspect thread for this part of tinternet but has anyone worn compression dri-fit tops in the gym to support muscles (specifically shoulders (latent rotator cuff injury)). Obviously it will be worn underneath looser clothing to prevent the insecure PH'ers from casting gheyboy aspersions . There are some deals on last few seasons' Nike Pro Vent compression tops on the bay, hence my interest (am poor atm you see!). One negative is that whilst resting between exercises body will cool a bit due to tight sweaty material cooling surface body temperatures. . .hmmm maybe I am better off carrying on with loose dri-fit Nike Pro vent "stuff"
Ta for looking. . .
Any good UK fitness/exercise forums I need to know about?
EDIT . . . to clarify the weakness can appear in both shoulders when doing press-ups, any above shoulder work, and all chest exercises.

I wear some compression clothing for training (sprinting), it does give the impression of supporting your muscles and you do feel better but I guess that could be the placebo effect. Whether it has any real benefits is debatable but all the top sprinters wear compression shorts and if you feel more comfortable in them then thats the most important factor.
The only downside is that you seem to get very hot and then very cold in quick sucession as your sweat dries on you quickly so that they can feel cold on your skin.
In the gym i'm not so sure there is a benefit other than comfort....or that you look muscular in them, but if you have a belly at all don't wear them
