Once again it was left to Mike Phelan to give MoTD a post-match interview.

Fergy is obviously pissed off with the BBC for their investigation on him and his son but IIRC they, quite rightly, uncovered a few skeletons in Jason's cupboard

Seeing as motion was passed at the Premier League board meeting last week, which made post-match interviews with all media rights holders mandatory for all league managers, I wonder if the interviewers will give Fergy a hard time.

It looks like he will have to end his six-year ban on giving interviews to BBC reporters - shame.

So what if he doesnt comply, he will just get a couple of grand fine.... big deal.

Old red nose makes his own rules up.

but they are EPL rules not FA rules which mean he will be forced to give post-match interview to the BBC

Have United ever worried about rules in the past? The fines they recieve are so small they are a waste of time.

The only way they will listen is to be deducted points, then Fergie may do a song and dance for the BBC cameras.

you're mixing up FA disciplinary against EPL

EPL leavy far, far higher fines to teams than the FA

It will be interesting to see what happens then. I wonder who the unfortunate BBC commentator will be.

Exactly - if any interviewer thinks they can take Fergey on and make him look a fool, they will have been sadly misguided.

All he has to say is "No comment" to every question and he will be have an interview - far better to have a representative who'll actually discuss the game surely!

He has two arms and two legs like the reat of us. He needs to grow up and do what he is paid to do. Let's get a life guys.

Perhaps - He will only give them the 'MOTD highlights section' of his interview, condensed into a few seconds. As that is ALL the BBC have the rights to broadcast.

He's OK with Sky, who have full coverage..!!!!

Fergy's strop sets a very dangerous precedent. Many people might feel that his refusal to talk with the BBC after they, quite legitimately, investigated the shady side of the sport, might stop other TV companies doing or saying anything which might upset managers.

He is, in effect, penalising the BBC for doing what is in the public interest. If the BBC broadcast something which is incorrect he can ask them to retract it and, if they don’t, he can sue. What he seems to be upset with is the BBC printing the truth.

Fergy seems to be upset with the freedom of the press.

Sky wouldn’t dream of doing any investigating. They’ll stick with sycophantic rubbish that tells you exactly what managers and players want you to know.

Fergy’s only option is to say nothing to all interviewers. But he won’t do that to those who go on about him being a character.

Good on the BBC. It is a shame they refuse to do anything similar with Formula 1 and instead fawn on Mosley and Todt.
