ETA Sorry Mods. This thread is in no way related to the sport of Rugby, or to be used for discussion of sporting details. It is aimed squarely at poking fun at a risible Australian performance (and begrudgingly recognising a heroic Scotland performance). Please leave here for a little while wink

Quiet, or they'll tell their pals New Zealand to duff you up..... D'oh!
Yeah but getting beaten by probably the best team on the planet (when the pressure of a world cup isn't there) is hardly a disgrace. Unlike some matches played today hehe

Bloody Brilliant. I have recorded the match for posterity, may leave it on when my Aussie pal comes round next week...

what a very odd game.
yes That's exactly what struck me as I was watching it.

Kudos to Scotland for putting in a huge effort and never giving up, I even cheered for them a little bit as the final whistle went, but you have to admit that Aus fked it up on a biblical scale.

Scotland werent even close to being in that game, they played off the pitch, I have no clue how they won!! Australia truly buggered it up, but even then normally that much of the ball leads to a win...

Still no idea how that happened!

This.

  • Both* defences were superb.
Scotland certainly didn't do anything constructive with the ball - giving it away more often than not, whether via kicks or just bad handling. The referee also made some questionable decisions (in both teams' favour).

One of the worst games I've seen in a long time, but fk it, Scotland won against Oz for the first time in 18 years, it's the scores on the doors that count (at the end of the day, Brian) and I was in the West Stand biggrin

Oh Flower of Scotland....
