absolutely appaling cheating

what is more shocking is that football doesn't employ video refereeing to get the right decision made in the biggest games.

it clearly works in rugby league to get the right decision made is worth any delay.

terrible fortun e for the irish.

5 mins to go btw

Works in rugby as the games is slow an being stopped al the time anyway, it would ruin football. And they want all leagues to have access to the same tech, which is not possible at stty little stadiums.

Henry is a tosser for that.

Henry trapped the ball with his hand, then knocked it up in the air with his hand, then passed it to Gallas to score.

That was more blatant that Maradonna, at least Maradonna had his head in the vicinity - that was a shocking handball.

Cannot believe the Irish will lose out (most likely) because of it

Absolute shambles.

I was going to start a thread on this... and I bloody hate football..... but just got in from the pub.

How is it in this day and age you can have a football match which is won due to a player getting away with a hand-ball?

How come in cricket and rugby there is a third umpire but in the quallifying for the football world cup there is no such facillity?

Stinks sucks stinks.

PATHETIC.

I'm not an Irish man, but I do live in Ireland, further, I'm pretty devastated too.

The rules/methods of referring a game of football need to be changed, that was fkING apalling.

Yep - not much honour in the team when the captain is willing to do that to win. It's not a sport that I like much, but Ireland certainly deserved victory tonight.

I'll take pleasure in winding my french colleagues up tomorrow! smile

There should be massive fallout from this, sadly I doubt it...
