Just watching this now. So what are peoples predictions?

I know it is a friendly and both teams are not quite 100%, but should be a good game I hope.

The singing of the National Anthem had so little enthusiasm, hopefully the British National Anthem is sung with a bit more vigour.

Foster had a lucky break there, but was a silly judgement.

That must of been the highlight of the match for you.

I am still trying to work out if there was a highlight.

I thought we played alright actually. Our defence was good in the first half and we were only let down a couple of times by some lapses in concentration. Especially in the first half I thought we looked more likely to score going forward than they did, although they had far more possession in dangerous areas. We kept Kaká pretty quiet and it was only Nilmar who was giving us any real difficulty.

Given that we were nowhere near full strength and Brazil were only missing a couple of players I think we did ok, even though we were let off once or twice. Nothing to worry about in my opinion.

True most of that squad wont be in the starting line up of a fully fit team.

However they just didn't make chances. If they had a little break they made silly mistakes.

Stupid mistake by Brown (not the only one he made too) that led to the penalty, he put Foster into a compromised position. I'd agree in a non-friendly it may have been a red.

On the whole, some decent defending, Brazil didn't get through much.

One could argue that we were good to only go 1 down to, supposedly, the best team in the world. If we were crap, we'd have been thrashed.....

Just couldn't see us scoring though, no real penetration from midfield. We can all "justify" it as no Lampard/Gerrard etc. but we can't rely on just those two. What happens if Lampard/Gerrard aren't around/injured when the WC comes around? Where are the new up and coming central midfielders??

Anyway, it's a friendly, you can never read *too* much into these performances.
