You tosser! I set the Sky box to record it and intended to watch it later.

... but your post means that I've basically flushed £15.

Thanks ... you feck-wit.

You shouldn't have opened the thread, Patrick.

For all you knew, the title was about Jenson and it's the first time the OP has been infront of his PC for 3 weeks.

When I miss the F1 or big match etc. and if it's important to me that I don't want to know the result, I stay well away from forums, the web ,news etc.!! To be fair, the topic title didn't give it away "too" much.

Which is why I didn't go near the "sport" forum tonight.

Had the title of the post included a clue as to the content; I wouldn't have opened it.

Anyway ...

Have a nice weekend people.

Cheers,

Well mods, just before the lock, could we have a sticky explaining how long after an event, that many people may enjoy, are those people allowed to mention it? Because on the off chance some knob head has decided to watch the same event at a later time and doesn't want anyone else on the planet to be excited and/or interested in the turn out of said event?

Two things ...
  • In your original post you use the words; "I know this will get moved ...". So why put it here in the first place?
  • Did you not think to add some kind of indication in the title regarding the content?
I can only think that your intent was mischievous.

Cheers,

Horsest.

It wasn't mischievous it was excitement, I am chuffed David won.
My reference to the post getting moved was because my previous post to this one was moved because of a minor reference to DIY and I was expecting this one to go over to sport.

Let's face it mate, if you are trying to avoid hearing about a current event you should definitely avoid forums. Perhaps I could have been more precise in my thread title but it was 10 seconds after the result and I was thrilled, it wasn't a time to be thinking clinically.

Grow up man FFS.

Okay rolleyes you may have a point. Frankly I can't believe a simple affirmation of a British sportsman winning a title can turn into this crap but perhaps I was wrong, or perhaps we both were.

However, I have now had a few drinks and I'm leaving this discussion because I can't be confident of being rational in any subsequent posts.

Nice looking dog in your profile btw, used to love going to the dog track many years ago.

Why dont you just avoid the internet then? Hate people who call others spoilers when all they have to do is avoid any news. Why should others have to tread carefully for the minority?

If you save one of the most interesting sports events for later, then you need to avoid all media until you see it. Your own fault.
