I've just read this report of an Interview given in Spain and Robinho's contradiction within minutes of saying one thing really does highlight the mercenary character of the man.

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_56292...

If you're a City fan look away now...

In brief:

Robinho said:
Of course I would like to play for Barca. Who would not? We could have so much fun.

It would be a pleasure to play alongside (Lionel) Messi, my compatriot Dani Alves, Xavi, (Andres) Iniesta, (Zlatan) Ibrahimovic, with all of them.

They're a great team. I played against them and know their quality. But right now I can only do it on the PlayStation.

It is a pleasure to watch Barca play. They look like the best Brazilian team with the way that they use the ball. Pep Guardiola's team is truly spectacular.

It is an honour that a coach like him (Guardiola) speaks well of Robinho and values me as much as I have read he does. It fills my heart with pride.

But now is not a question of whether there is a loan move or I sign in the winter market or in the summer.

It is a question of sitting down and talking when there is a serious and concrete proposal and as I have said before I have not personally received that.
This is quickly followed by the laughable contradiction:

Robinho said:
Now would not be the right time to say things that could be badly interpreted here (in Spain) or there (in England).

I have a contract with City and being the professional that I am, I am dedicated to them.
roflroflrofl

Yeah...Robi...it goes without saying you're 'dedicated'...

He's been looking at the exit door since he's arrived pretty much.

He is a footballer paid loads of money. He will go to where he can get the best deal. Man City is only his club while they pay him big money. Fair enough why pretend otherwise. He is not a fan. He is a player doing a job. He also appears to have a big mouth, if he is sensible he will keep it shut.tongue out

Perhaps he's finally woken up to the fact he's not at Chelsea!! He should stay as it's easy money as he's injured most of the time. Wait until there away at Hull in the winter, Robi will be 'injured' again.

City are better off without him, tbh, better a team of grafters like Tevez and Bellamy, who actually EARN their money......

I agree but who else is waiting for Bellamy to get the hump over something and return to his form of old.

Maybe but he is looking a bargain at the moment!

I've never liked Bellamy, as a player the guys top level, as a bloke i think he's a tt! Would i have him in a United shirt? Definately!

You say that like we should be surprised that a man utd supporter would be prepared to have a tt playing at the club if they were any good! You club is full to the brim with pricks of the highest order who hold their clubs and supporters to ransom to meet their personal goals. Rio Ferdinand and Wes Brown have done it to you!

Rooney, Berbatov, Ronaldo, Brown, Ferdinand, Owen, the list goes on and on. You'd sign Nick Griffin and love him if he played well.

That's why everyone calls you scum.

That is, hands down, the funniest thing I have ever read on PH.

And in a day with that cracking photoshop over in The Lounge, that is some tremendous work!

I think thats a little harsh, but you might want to have a look through your own team for the ammount of tts you have at your own club. All players hold their clubs to ransom thats why they are paid a kings ransom to play week in week out. I'd wager Mark Hughes or any other premiership manager, would take any of the players above in your little list and be prepared to be held to ransom, including Nick Griffin smile

i'd be more concerned with the losing to the likes of stoke at home rather than what's going on at eastlands. 'deserve each other'? did you complain when levy was splashing his cash all over the place?
