Poor form from Yorkshire. 15 years man and boy, leading wicket taker in 2009, and released without so much as a public thank you very much. No opportunity to say goodbye to the fans either.

Still, someone will snap him up hopefully, top bloke.

Seems its a bit more complicated, but Yorkshire are rubbish at managing their team and Hoggy is quite prone to talking to the press to stir it up. He will be snapped up no problem. I suspect that Yorkshire fans will be well pissed off though as you say.

Feel sorry for Hoggy but it seems he was offered a new extended contract in April and refused it. Yorkshire then had to pay more to retain several other players for next year and additionally they now have to comply with a salary cap. So having refused their offer he now finds that they don't have the kind of money left in the kitty to pay him what he requires.

Personally I think he will struggle to find another county unless he is prepared to take a big pay cut. Shame as he's a top bloke but maybe on this occasion he was poorly advised?
