Well... been ages since we had any cricket to banter about huh??

Good to see the home boys humbled big time by the half back flankers from Sri Lanka!

Ladbrokes have taken a whopping £200 in bets backing England to win the Champion's trophy - be afraid!!

You could get better than 20-1 on BetFair yesterday. It would have been even longer odds if Holland were in the tournament...

I know it was D/L method but it's still surprising to see the saffers get a loss already.

You can't have many bad games in this tournament and stay in it.

Did you see any of the WI v Pak game? The bounce in that wicket was unbelievable - it was making Darren Sammy look like Joel Garner!

It was a shame it looked like a windies 3d eleven. I hope they sort out their troubles soon. Tonge did well.

Looking forward to pakistan India coming up.

Does anyone still believe that England can beat Sri Lanka ?

No KP, Flintoff, Luke Wright or Broad.. we look hopeless.

Still at least we have Collingwood, that gives us at least 25 runs from about 70 balls ....

Sorry, but this is typical of England, build a little optimism and then lose. We will lose this game be in no doubt. We are awful at this game, no decent players and I fully expect us to be bowled for about 70 runs

The ball was certainly hooping around first up. Strauss has proven to be a top class tosser this year. If he can keep it up maybe we can insert everyone and bowl them all out cheaply. Having said that, as mentioned above we still have to get the runs, however few..........

I was quite encouraged by Strauss's comments after the Australia games.

"Perhaps having a change of scene in South Africa will help us?" hehe

17/4 to 212 from the Sri Lankans.

I'm not sure England will get that on this pitch, those 25 extras will come back to haunt England.

With some luck and a fair wind we'll sneak the opening match, however I'm holding a snowballs hope in hell of us winning another.

A super result...nice to see the middle order showing some backbone for once.

Jimmy is a star, a real class act and a credit to both country and county bow

Yeah well done the boys, especially Jimmy A and Morgan. Still worried about Shah though. His innings was pedestrian and worryingly typical. If we'd been chasing 250 it would have caused big problems, fortunately Colly, Morgan and Prior were all able to take on the scoring role which helps to disguise the deficiency.
