On this saturday (19th) Who will be watching? Who do people think is going to win? i've been watchign every episode of 24.7 and i have to say, Marquez looks strong. I reckon he has a chance! Part of me wants Floyd to win cus i love his cockiness, but part of me wants to see him lose to see how he reacts.

JMM is a great fighter who has been in a lot of wars and has an iron chin. But I cant see him having the speed of PBF and I just think JMM has one too many wars. Could be an easy night for PBF and I see him ending this around 8th or 9th

Hope I am wrong

This is either gonna be very one-sided in PBF's favour or a real war.

Just can't see JMM pulling it off...but then thats why I love boxing, the uncertainty.

can`t see a war happening, have you ever seen floyd in anything other than nick it mode?don`t get me wrong he is a fantastic talent and some of the things he can do like unleashing piowerful shots on the retreat are reminicent of ray robinson, it`s just that i have never seen him willing to mix it in the way ,say, pacman does.juan`s best chance is to get at him early because that is where he is most dangerous but i can`t honestly remember floyd ever being stationary long enough to get tagged properly.the first signs of trouble and he`s back peddaling around the ring out of the way

I've been waiting for this to come on but it's not on the Sky Sports schedule this week - bds!

Normally they run the episodes 2 weeks in advance!

Where have you been watching this?

Probably get my friend to Sky+ it and watch it on Sunday. If Mayweather is as good as he was when he last "retired" he will win I think but it has been a long lay off so who knows. JMM is one tough fighter.

I'm picking Mayweather but I reckon Marquez has the potential to bother him IF he has carried his speed, timing and power up in weight with him.

I'd be very suprised if Mayweather knocks him around the ring from the opening bell like he did against Gatti as I'm sure he'll be apprehensive after his long layoff, despite the fact he has been training in Vegas ever since he retired. I wouldn't be suprised if he ups his workrate and starts landing hard flurries and straight rights on Marquez after the 7th round once he has sussed Marques out to win a clear decision or even a late stoppage.

But as I said, if Marquez managed to hang on to those skills and advantages he had in the lower weight classes, he could seriously bother Mayweather.

Mayweather, good points victory, but with an early scare.

I'll take a bow for that one wink

The weight was definately a problem for JMM, but he was a tough cookie.

PBF looked sharp though, I watch him particularly closely on his defence, it really is superb, he's not a big hitter, but he's so economical.

If he was a big puncher he'd be unstoppable.

I hope he fights Mosely and Manny at some point, he's certainly capable of beating them both.

Good prediction but there was no early scare. wink

It's very difficult to tell whether Marquez carried his speed, power and timing up in weight with him because regardless of how good he was, he would have been beaten soundly by that version of Mayweather everytime they fought.

His ability to slip a 3/4 punch flurry from Marquez was insane and his hard counter shots that were countering Marquez's counters were fantastic to watch.

Mayweather vs Mosley/Pacman would be good but firstly Mosley needs to take care of a tough challenger in Clottey and Pacman needs to get past Cotto who is potentially going to be his toughest opponent to date.

As interesting as the fight was who the hell was "that bloke"? You know the one I'm talking about, when they focussed on Arnie after about the 6th round some Indian fella stood up infront of the camera and made what can only be described as a "come on, lets 'av it" face. Thank god for Sky+ to review this fella several times. Still makes me smile...

He made me laugh too - but my initial call was Italian....

As for the fight, PBF - damn, he's really good.

And was actually not a complete nipple during his ring interview.

I think he's learnt a lot from his encounter with Hatton, he always seems to be fairly normal when addressing british fans now.

The guy is quite amusing. If you watch the build up to any fight where his opponent has said something that he takes offence to, he acts like a complete prat until after the fight where he is always full of praise and has nothing but nice things to say.

This is the first fight in a long time that he hasn't gone completely overboard before a fight and treated Marquez with respect from the pre-fight build ups right until the end.

Mind you, after seeing a very frustrated Mosley (with good reason too!) get in on the interview with Hopkins to back him up, I can only imagine the amount of crap we're going to hear Mayweather spout if he does decide to fight Mosley.

That US interviewer was probably THE WORST I have seen thogh - some idiot who thought he was it ... asks one question and then asks another one sec later ... not many can talk better than PDF but he was cut off before he had the chance to speak - okay he did the decent thing for his sponsors and got Reebok in early, but that's what seels fights in the US, advertising coupled with PPV so what do they expect ...

I expect Reebok sold 1/2 a pair of trainers extra cos of the plug rolleyes

PBF is unstoppable though, lay off or no lay off.

Put him in against a heavyweight or something!

Thing is, does HE ever fight going up in weight, or do all the other always come DOWN or go UP?!

Put him in with the Hayemaker, I reckon it'd be a close call!!

He's considered to be one of P4P all time greats because of how many weight classes he's fought and won titles in. He can't just keep going up and up in weight. His body will have a limit

Not taking anything away from PBF because he is brilliant and has the best defence in boxing but - he should be fighting top level welterweights and not smaller guys like JMM. Clottey, Cotto or Mosley. If Cotto beats Manny then he will have to fight him I think. The guy that can beat PBF is Paul Williams though.
