English players deliberately knobbling mighty Croatians!

Vlatko Markovic, President of the Croatian Football Federation believes that there is a conspiracy by English players to knobble his stars ahead of games against England. This follows the breaking of Eduardos leg in 2008 and last weeks challenge by Lee Bowyer on Luca Modric which also resulted in a broken leg, ahead of this weeks game against England.

Umm... right. Players who have no chance whatsoever of playing for England risk their careers by deliberately breaking the leg of an opponent so that they can't play against England. And this for a game where England's qualification is pretty much assured already...

This is even funnier than Aussies blaming defeat on doctored pitches....
