Beating Scotland or Wales at anything is not normally cause for rapturous celebration, after all it's the natural way of things. Beating Aussie gives mega bragging rights to all Englishmen.

Personally the ultimate sporting feel goods have always been;

Cricket = Beating the convicts

Golf = Beating the Yanks at the Ryder Cup

Football = Beating the Germans

Rugby = Beating the Welsh or the convicts

NFL = Pats beating the Colts
