The colour of the track looks ok to me. Quite funny how the eurosport commentators are confused about the slow times in the first round of the 100m.

Track colour looks great to me.

They must be crap commentators then.
Why not watch on the BBC where the commentators are excellent.

I missed the live heats, and caught the replays on there.
Looks like Tyson Gay hasn't got much of a chance with his groin strain, a shame as this will be a jog for Usain.

His training buddy (Bailey?)might make a slight race of it though .

Think Chambers will go under 10--not sure how he got to these championships though--thought he was banned from all the big ones.

I wouldn't have let him.

The BBC, not surprisingly tend to concentrate on British athletes, which means that you miss a lot.

Not sure if a half marathon would be the best prep for full marathon the following week.

Wish her the best though.

It's certainly unconventional.

He is banned from the Olympics = as a matter of British team policy. He can be selected for anything else though.
Carl Myerscough is in the same boat.

It's a great shame that Dwain Chambers chose to take that route, he may have served his time but his body is the way it is, mostly due to the drug use, which kind of taints the "giving them a second chance" thing.
I pray for a clean championship.

The Olympic squad is chosen/controlled by a different organisation (British Olympic Association) than World Championship etc (UK Athletics).

The British Olympic Association have a strict life ban policy on drug offences, where as UK Athletics policy wasn't very clear, so when he had served his ban, UK Athletics tried to not choose him even though he was getting the qualification times. He threatened to take them to court and they backed down.
