anyone had any experience with them? I want to buy tickets for the Pacquiao vs Cotto fight in Vegas in november, but have a few questions.

When i go on the Ticketmaster UK website, i can't find that event anywhere, only when i log onto the ticketmaster USA site. Is it ok for me to buy tickets from the US site when they go on sale?

Also, has anyone bought tickets for a big boxing event before? are they likely to sell out in minutes like popular concerts etc, or will i be ok to ring anytime on the day they go on sale? There are quite a few websites offering them for sale now, but how are they doing this if they aren't released? Ticketmaster are the official supplier for the MGM grand as far as i know?

much appreciated guys!

If you're staying at a good hotel try asking the concierge now to source you some tickets.

I went to LV last November for the Manny v Oscar fight - was awesome! You'll love it.

I haven't bought tickets for boxing from Ticketmaster before, but have for Ice Hockey and Basketball when I have been in New York. Picked the tickets up from the box office at MSG both times when I got there and had no problems at all.

I get mine from Ticketmaster aall the time for Vegas fights.

You need to register at Ticketmaster.com NOT Ticketmaster.co.uk then go for the will call option and you can pick them up at the MGM Garden Arena box office.

There is hardly ever a queue at the pre-booked window either so happy days.

Have a good one!

thanks for the help! i have signed up to the ticketmaster.com site now. Is there likely to be a big rush for tickets when they go on sale or will i be ok? Think we will pick them up in Vegas as we are staying at the MGM grand. can't wait biggrin

Was mad. All the yanks sitting near me were going mad for Oscar before the fight and then as soon as Manny got on top of him (i.e the first round) they all changed their support to Manny and with all the Phillopino's there (working in the hotels) the atmosphere was electric.

Was quite amusing that they knocked $30 Oscar t-shirts before the fight down to $5 after the fight and still no-one was buying them.

You sorted for Vegas..?? I've contributed to a few threads on PH on where to stay etc...I was there 7-8 weeks ago and still The Wynn is the place to stay for me.

ha ha! Oscar did get completely dominated. "He's too fast, i see no reason to continue"
nope, not sorted anythign out really! flights are free as my mate works for Delta, but we were looking to stay at the MGM Grand and be proper involved in the atmosphere. You recommend the Wynn then? i'll look into it. We are going to book up the hotel tonight i think! Any other tips or ideas?

MGM is a good shout to stay. Try for the Signature part of the hotel - they are heavily discounting them.

I got a great deal on The Wynn - for me its the best hotel and the best casino, especially staying in the Tower Suites.

Vegas is really struggling to fill itself at the moment so definitely shop around for the best deals. Also, if you book now and the rooms become cheaper as you go along (happens a LOT) then just call up the hotel and they'll put you on the lower rate...they don't want you jumping ship to other hotels that have deals on as well.

If you have time I fully recommend you go shooting. www.thegunstorelasvegas.com is the place to do it. Absolute ball.

As some other posters have said hotels are struggling to fill their rooms at the minute.

Signature is a good shout and also go online and see the best deals you can get room wise at the MGM. Once you've got the best online price, give them a call and ask them to do a bit better for you. To put in perspective I was out there for Hatton v Pac earlier this year and got about a 45% reduction on what they originally quoted but I have stayed at MGM a fair few times.

MGM on fight night is always awesome atmosphere. The pinoys are a good crack as well, right up for a laugh. You'll have a great time out there.

Ticket wise you should be ok, there are still loads left for Mayweather v Marquez so you should be fine. Think they go on sale at 10AM (US) tomorrow.

Gunstore is a crack and also try and get out to the Richard Petty driving experience out at the Speedway and drive a Nascar.

yep, 6pm uk time tomorrow i will be on the website booking! can't wait.

We did loads of research on hotels yesterday, and the New York New York is coming up at really good prices, around £460 for 5 nights. MGM grand is coming up at £800 for 5 nights. Will try ringing them like you suggested then. Ideally i think i would rather stay at the MGM for the atmosphere!
