Doe anyone know if there's a signing on deadline for under7 football, and the consequences of not making it? Also whether that ties you in for the whole season?
Ta in advance.

Are you referring to registering a team or just an individual footballer?

Just my 6 year old for the coming season. He may however play up a year at under 8, so wondered what the ramifications were either way.

In the mini-soccer round my way (Southampton District), once you have signed registration forms, you need special dispensation from the league to play for any other team in the competition until the next season.

That doesn't stop him signing for another team which plays under a different authority.

Any signing on deadline will be set by a particular league.
The FA don't set any.

Transfer rules are similarly set by leagues.

my boys 6 and also signing for his first season. I have also run a few kids teams.
It may differ under different area associations but where I am there is no deadline to sign them on, although it does take a couple of weeks to setup and register, especially as this is the first year of registration, (photo needed and birth certificate)
You can only sign for one team, should you wish to change, there is a admin charge. Changing teams can only be done up to January, after that, no transferring allowed. Thus may be different where you are.
Hope this helps

There is not under 7 football. 6 year olds can play under 8's though. My boy has signed with the view of playing very little this year, ready for next year when he is 7.

But there is no official under 7 league, only under 8's.
My boy's team has separated the 6 and 7 years olds to create to teams, although all are registered for the same age group, nder 8's
The 6 year olds will play limited official games this season due to being only 6

Thats what I'm thinking, so the registration for under 7's is more flexible to go from team to team than under'8s?

Now that my boy is registered with his team, he cannot play for another team unless his registration is transfered correctly.
That is if he wants to play official league football. That way he's covered by insurances etc.

He's free to play in tournaments, friendlies, etc for other teams without being registered to that team, but when playing in the official league, he will need to be registered to that team.
My boys team trains every week, like most teams. Rather than register, maybe an option to attend various teams training sessions if your looking for the right club, with the right setup, use this season to find the right club for next year.
