Lancashire have just lost in a bowl out to Somerset in the quarter final of the 20*20. Am I the only one that thinks these are a complete waste of time. They take place in the indoor school. What a load of bks

Certainly not ideal and if I were a Lancashire player or supporter I'd be annoyed. Like the penalty shoot out though - what's the alternative?

I can't remember who it was, but I seem to remember a NatWest Trophy fixture being decided like this and the losing captain saying "we came to win a cricket match, and ended up losing a skittles..."

My sentiments entirely. I guess the frustration is that being a 20*20, the length of time required to play the game is so short. Even if it was a 10 over thrash which would take an hour and a half, its better than the skittles joke. Very unsatisfactory in my view. I am a Lancashire supporter after all bounce

Better than a coin toss, Shirley?
