He can't be that ste - he's only lost 1 in 50!

Even so - I'm expecting/hoping for a Haye victory.

Haye's got good hand speed for a heavyweight so should be able to use this to his advantage.

Granted Valuev is bigger and stronger but I'm just saying Haye's fast for his size.

Haye was saying on Sky Sports earlier today, that he Cannot and most probably Will not find a Sparring partner of the same size a Valuev. So he will not only have to fight him, but will have to fight someone of that size for the first time in his career. He also mentioned that his speed of thought and mobilty would play a greater part than size.

But... What if Valuev lands a big punch, Haye will slow down for sure. Small boxers have put Haye on his backside, what will Valuev do to him..?

Lots of pro boxers have padded records.

Work the body, in and out, in and out. Land one two punches and move away again.

Keep that up for 8-10 rounds and the fight is over.

He doesnt need to win flashy, he doesnt need to win spectacular, it just needs to be professional and competent.

im...i don`t care what the guy`s record is.he made mighty hard work of an over-the-hill john ruiz who was half his size and a 150 year old evander holyfield beat him clearly and got robbed. the guy has size.i`ll say it again.watch how chagaev made him look a total neanderthal and then immediately after watch how wlad klitschko made a mockery of chagaev`s outstanding amateur/pro carreer . the klitschkos are head and shoulders above every other heavy in the world top 20 put together.

Valuev is hopeless and a disgrace to the heavyweight division. Pound for pound one of the worst punchers i've seen. The guy should be knocking heads clean off his opponents.

This won't be a challenge for Haye. He won't get knocked out and I can hardly see him losing to a guy who should have lost to Grandad Evander.

Think we'll be seeing lots of headlines of David conquers Goliath etc etc.

I wish there was a real challenge out there for him, he could be the new Mike Tyson of the division if he keeps his chin tucked in. The fighters are all old past there best and don't have much to throw at him the only credible threat is from Wladimir.

That is because he was fighting as a circus freak show and the opponents have hardly been top draw. Apart from Chagev and Holyfield he's not had a fight against a household name.

I think it would be a better fight than Valuev. If Haye beats Valuev will he really have the boxing world saying that he has arrived as a heavyweight......Ich don't think so. If he beats Vitali it is a different story. Vitali is a boxer for a start so will give Haye a serious contest, no doubt about that but I think Haye would out point him.

Regardless of what people thinks of Haye's attitude (not to my taste) I don't think anyone can disagree that he is the most exciting prospect in that division. Don't forget how many times he put Barrett down and he was a 'contender' not so long ago.

i take your point mate but don`t forget that barrett put hayr down as well, all be it a flash.i can`t take barrett seriously anymore.go and look at the footage from about 10 years ago(when he was in his prime) of what wlad did to him on one of the lennox lewis undercards.he systematically destroyed him.all those scars in monte`s eyebrows are from that fight.for your first fight at heavyweight a fair enough contest .i agree that the division needs a bit more spice and certainly david brings this.like it or not, though these 6 1/2 and 7 foot guys fight differently than the 5 ft 10 bobbing bangers like tyson.not as exciting to watch for the leyman but for purists it`s very impressive.i am pretty sure that haye would have little chance of beating vitali.his best bet as i said in another post would be to outpoint him with movement but david would want to get involved and that is where a very patient vitali would chop him down.

Sadly Haye's chin is suspect and we have to hope that Valuev's 20+ stone desn't connect with it cos if it does Haye's poor punch resistance may be his downfall...

I still think he'll win but it wont be pretty.

i can see a score card of 120-108 for all three judges unless david loses his composure and gets tagged.it won`t happen though.they took this fight to make a few quid on a sure thing before marching onto the gunfire

I think that Vitali ain't the brother to give Haye a real fight though. Wladimir is the man to beat Haye for me. Vitali's best is behind him. Is he really hungry anymore? I'd question that, certainly can't question Haye's ambition to clear up the division and knock all of the big Eastern Europeans out. You can see he wants to be the best and that is half the battle.

Audley could have stepped up now and with the potential he has perhaps should say had. He could have cleared up but his arrogance and lack of defence and guts did for him.

Haye lacks size but he can't half punch. Neither of the brothers have been in the ring with a banger as good as Haye.

i`m not sure how you can question his hunger when he came out of a four year retirement to have a straight title shot at nigerian nightmare samuel peter(who punches just as hard as haye)and turned in one of the best performances of his carreer.and also, in terms of not fighting anyone with the ko power of haye i would counter with lennox lewis, corrie sanders, sam peter
