Ehhhhhhhhh? I've never seen Ibrahimovic play well. Surely no way worth Eto and 35 mill. Is he the world's most overrated player?

Leaving aside the 35mill, I'd still rather have Eto'o then Ibrahimovic

I think Barca had been backed into a corner as Eto's contract was up at the end of the season and he didn't want to sign a new one.

Madness.

From what I've seen of both players, I'd take Eto'o every time.

I can't believe Barca are letting him leave, I'd have thought with his goalscoring record they'd be trying to keep hold of him.

I text my mate this morning with the title of this thread proceeded by "I've got a punchline for you!" wink

I couldn't believe my ears when I heard it on the news earlier. I thought they had got the 35 mill in the wrong place and it was in fact Barca who were getting it rather than Inter rofl

Whenever I've seen him play he's always been a whining primadonna, thank God he's not coming to the Premiership, complete waste of money!

Superb bit of business for Inter, Hleb on loan for a season as well, Mourinho will be rubbing his hands with glee methinks.

yes

Never ever struck me as being anything other than a rich man's Mark Viduka (but with an allergy to pies, of course biggrin), but to be fair I don't watch any Serie A. All I have to go on are his 'performances' in the CL and for Sweden.

As for Eto'o, I think he's angling for a move for the cash aspect & Barca aren't that bothered as long as they get a replacement because he's a PITA. Then again, IIRC, Ibrahimovic isn't exactly know for his placid and level headed nature.

Barca would be FAR better off paying the necessary for David Villa and just getting whatever they can for Eto'o - As he only has a year left anyway, any threat of not playing ball WRT leaving would be better off met with a full year playing for the B team!
