Ive recently started playing football again after many many years of not playing. Every time Ive played so far though Ive got blisters on the ball of my feet and one week I had blisters underneath the blisters that were there from the previous week! Needless to say that got pretty painful as they went right down to the flesh.
Is there anything I can do to prevent them? My boots feel ok to wear but maybe theyre too tight?
Here are the boots - http://www.prodirectsoccer.com/prodinfo.asp?DPID=P...
What is the best thing to do once you have blisters? Pop them, cut them off, or just leave them? I played again last night and yet again Ive got a blister on the ball of my left foot which is quite deep under the skin.

I found it was a certain pair of socks that gave me blisters. Those thick 'old school' stye ones. Now we have these my feet are much better http://www.prosportuk.com/a3/rugby_equipment/rugby...
EDIT: the bonus is that they also do not fall down so you don't look scruffy!

Those rugby socks look good though. My socks are always sliding down.
Even after 80 mins and playing on some pitches that can only be compared to the Somme they stay up with out ties. They are nice and light and don't hold the water. I suspect you may well use shin pads, I havn't tried them with shin pads so can't say how good they are with them.Leave them...
2 Tiny pin pricks to gt the fluid out. Feet in a bowl of saltened water - hardens the skin when dry.
Keep off your feet if possible.
Never cut away the skin, as the softer fleshy skin is exposed, the following week will be worse.
2 pairs of socks act like there is a blister already there, the movement of one sock over the other replicates what happens in a blister. A bit of Vaseline between your foot and the sock will also help.
Other than all of that. Take it like a man...! HTH

Petroleum jelly for blisters
In the week before the marathon, coat your feet with petroleum jelly each night before bedtime, and then pull on some socks. The jelly will soften the calluses and skin on your feet. By the end of the week, your skin will be so supple and lubricated that blisters will have trouble forming during your race.
