well it`s official.showtime have just announced a super middleweight knockout tournament between 6 of the best in the world. and i do mean best. kessler, froch, abraham, taylor and the two younguns dirrel and ward.combined record for this lot is 141 wins against 4 losses. the only fighter of note that is missing is bute but who cares? this string of fights is going to be epic.(all world titles possesed ARE on the line)

i am waiting for the match ups to be announced but from listening to froch he`s got dirrell first.it`s basically a round robin where they all fight in an eliminator then progress to a semi final and so on.the interesting bit is that all competitors world titles are on the line in the relevant matches.the whole tourney should take about 9 months i think. none of this mickey mouse prizefighter ste where the bouts are all on the same night and over a few rounds.each fight will be full 12 round championship distance and be treated as such with full training camps etc.oh god i can`t wait!! kessler has to be favourite but abraham/froch?? froch/kessler?? kessler/ taylor? kessler/abraham???.........i`m gonna have to go for a lie down.
