At last, we return to the hvys with UF9, who is looking forward to this? Obviously Kimbo is going to be hyped up to the max! Does this mean that Dana wil want to pick a load of lemons that he can steamrol through, or Dana be content to let Kimbo get destroyed in the first few shows?

[quote]The UFC and Spike TV held an open casting call at The Marriott Seattle Airport Hotel in Seattle, Washington on April 6, 2009. The casting called for mixed-martial artists in the middleweight, light-heavyweight, and heavyweight divisions. On the day of tryouts, 250 potential fighters appeared including UFC fighters, International Fight League fighters, and former National Football League football players.[3][4] As with the previous season, all applicants must have had a professional MMA record.[5]

This season will not feature an elimination round as have the past few seasons. All competitors invited to Las Vegas for the show's taping will participate in the entire season.[6]

Won't feature an elimination round?

There is an argument for him to be one of the best pound for pound fighters. He fights at 205 lbs. The UFC heavyweight bracket is 206-266lbs. Lyoto is the current LHW champion though, and far beyond the need for a reality fighter show like The Ultimate Fighter. TUF mostly is for newbies/rookies.

It's TUF 10, not 9.

Kimbo is not being set up to win as there are loads of guys in there a lot bigger than him, and a few with genuine fight experience.

Tenner on Roy Nelson to win it.
