Total rubbish England...

Why don't we give anybody respect, well played the Dutch.
Broad was a right numpty last over, what happened to throwing the ball at the stumps from 10 yards.

We didn't hit a single 6
Neds hit 4.

Embarrasing.
Like England losing at Wembley against San Marino at football.

Dreadful, dreadful start ... Broad in the last over, dropped a relatively straight forward acught and bowled, threw himself at the stumps, was an inch short, so dropped the ball, threw hard at the stumps from 10 yards and missed ...

HSV is gonna be on this thread in a few mins I bet ... frown

If we lose Sunday are we out?

its a crap form of cricket, not enough time for us spectators to get pissed.

Dismal batting from us after a promising first ten or so overs.

Obviously, they planned it, so they could have a break before the Ashes and be on top form wink

No doubt when we have them 30/3 by lunch on the first day, this performance will be long forgotten (by the English anyway)

We are out even if we win unless Holland beat pakistan.

We were appalling and arrogantly so. We didn't score enough runs but were complacent enough to think we had. England just do not get this sort of cricket. You have to score of most balls and you HAVE to score boundaries and maximums. We did not hit a single 6! The Dutch - THE DUTCH - hit 3 or 4! Our main 6 hitter wasn't even picked for the game!

Fair play to the Dutch. They beat us fair and square, were the best team from ball 1 and thoroughly deserved to win.

Don't think so. Our net run rate ater that debacle was -0.05 so if we can beat pakistan and then they can do a number on the Dutch we should be ok.

To be honest, after that poor effort, lack of spirit, thoughtless fielding and dodgy team selection they deserve to be out.

Ok. I misunderstood what the comms said at the end of yesterdays game. They seemed to be implying that the first tie breaker was the record of the teams against each other. That's obviously much better if it's down to NRR.

I agree with your sentiments though.

I'm no cricket expert but why didn't Broad just throw the ball to the wicket keeper as soon as he got hold of it, would've finished as a draw then, still a st display but not as bad as losing to a team that rarely play the game!
